The Gem Poem by Felix A. Ahia

The Gem

Rating: 2.5

A gem has no life
Until the sower makes it rife
Till then abides alone
Crushed mutilated when home
Then shoots up with zest
As a dart through the chest
It begins to appear
But never disappear
However it takes
Must still have its stakes
For great gem is borne out gem
Nurture and care develops it into a undisputed gem
what shall you be called
Gem, Gem? yes! Gem
For the seed of greatness lie in you
The power is yours
