The Game Of Life Poem by Lu Vernezze

The Game Of Life

Stolen moments
Hidden treasures
Engraved on my mind...

What a feeling
What a memory
Engulfs the hands of time

I can't accept that this is it
I can't believe that it's all over

Something so strong
Something so powerful
Can leave you feeling so low

I feel so empty
I feel so hopeless
I want to help but I know I can't

The only escape
I know is possible
Is now dreaming of you

I could cry a million rivers
An I could weep a thousand streams
And I can drink myself sober
Till the sunlight beams...
Through my window
Peaking through
Another day
Without you

Life will never ever be the same
As you learn to love
You soon learn
To hate the game
