The Future Poem by Sahera Bhagoo

The Future

I've been told my
poems are full of sorrow.
I can't help the way
I may feel tomorrow.
Long gone are those happy
days and care free ways.
When my heart would leap
and dance with joy.
It all died with my other half.
The term is a true fact.
I see my beautiful daughter Nadia.
A wonderful gift he left behind.
All his qualities she beholds.
Deep down I know he's not
really gone.
He will go on living in her
and it's just the dawn.
