The Flag Poem by Tony Adah

The Flag

The allure of national pride
Flies in the air
Tattered in many wings
So is patriotism in shreds
Looks like my country is a ghost of itself
Now that the clarion call to national pride
Is swallowed by the individual greed
When our flag is left
To flutter in tatters of our collective shame
