The First Poem by Calista Urbaniak

The First

Rating: 5.0

Tingles become you
Destroying the possibility of none at all
A transfer in souls
'That would not have happened if you hadn't bit your lip'
Teeth etching a mark into skin because you told me to
I've signed my name without words on you
as you did the same
Secret exchanges as strangers come in
and miss the details
A whisper into the hair that hid a smile that hid unspoken thoughts
as the color plainly stained the floor in a dew drop fashion
if anyone knew...
But it happened on a full moon
Burning and Branding
A feeling of an exquisite calm laced with a gasp
and no room for rejection
An understanding is reached
A song must be chosen
For there is no better way to explain than to experience;
You were my first a thank you coming from a rose with one thorn
The question of a dance and a smoke in the shadows
The serenity in a bond of pure similarity
