The Final Verdict (Recommended) Poem by Ridah Ellahi

The Final Verdict (Recommended)

The urging sin
The tempting lust
The inner whim

A tiny sin
A wreck less disaster
A moment
Of hesitation
That set fire

Her sanctuary
Her heaven

At the highest abode
Looking down
At her
Lifeless existence
His eyes
Full of resentment
Of confusion
As the task
The decision
The verdict

His final call
He decides

A final attempt
A last try
Of love
She fails
She surrenders
Listen to me now
My love
We shall be united
Once again
In a land
Free of these
Desires
These compulsions
A land
Where we shall dwell
For an eternity
Together
Alas!
Blinded by rage
He pays no heed
Confident
Of the task
That must be done
With one last cry
She hopes
At his mercy
His judgment
As the move is made
And the scarlet life
Is gushed out of her
Lifeless, she rests
Guilty, he declares…
