The Fight Never Ends Poem by Aanuoluwa Adebanjo

The Fight Never Ends

Rating: 5.0

This is a tale from my heart
A journey i lived through
Life was so busy
I could not set my mind on anything else
Than the reason for embarking on my journey
There were check points
I stopped to reflect and ponder upon my life
My mistakes and experience
Both bitter-sweet, can't explain
Then there were stop-overs
I had to consider friends
And people brought across me by serendipity
Yet my family was a major priority
Then love came like a gentle wind
I did not feel its coldness
Until it blew more and more
Yet i kept taking care of my feelings
I realised it's not about the things we want
But about how they come across our way
And if care is not taken
We may fall for the stars while aiming for the sky
At the end not only us get hurt
But those who trusted us enough to give us everything
Because they thought we would not lose focus
Not even to the thousand forces pulling us over
So i keep fighting
I still am
The fight never ends

Your words are totally pertinent in this life, so many forces pulling us in all directions. Yet we must never give up or retreat, for life must go on no matter what. 10++++ Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
