The Feelings I Cannot Utter Poem by Philemon Lamdapba

The Feelings I Cannot Utter

Rating: 3.0

All i want to see from her is that captivating smile
But with it comes the reality that she is farther from me by more than a mile
What i feel for her is sometimes worse than madness
And the atmosphere around her is that of warmth and great calmness
But when its time to give voice to my feelings, i feel so lifeless
There she goes, a girl of rare beauty
And here i stand, soaked with tears of self pity
All my life, i've been attracted to only a few
But she is to me a dream that will never come true
Of all the things my eyes have seen
The most treasured of all she has been
With each passing moment, i see her unfading picture
As real as my fear of living without her in the future
My pain i'll embrace like a man with a fracture
Till the day i die, i'll live in self-torture
