The Fallen King Poem by Tyler Cooley

The Fallen King

This is the beginning
The beginning of an end
Upon a concrete throne
Foundations built on sins
Welcome to the kingdom
This city doesn't sleep
The devil made us all a deal
A secret sworn to keep

A perfect misconception
Hangs heavy in the night
Paths we took to misdirection
Led us miles from the light
We were stronger than the others
We're smart enough to know
Yet here he is, His destiny
Lies 5 stories below

Upon a concrete throne
This king is but a shell
Praying to the heavens
But his heart belongs to hell
He gave his all to nothing
He'll take the one thing left
The devil laughing as he falls
Just won another bet
