The Failure Poem by Benjamin Hickmott

The Failure

You're a manifestation, of your own central stage
Whatever is the topic, you become quite outraged
You consider that your judgement is oh-so precise
And your always more than willing to offer free advice
But there is one thing that you really ought to know
You're so disagreeable, yet you cannot say - `No´

You're a real go-getter, self-made cavalier of cheer
That face that you wear, is it smile or a sneer?
You flaunt your unearned wealth as you pick up all the tabs
Misstaking for admirers, your accompaniment scabs
But there is one thing for them you won't bestow
Although you're disagreeable, you'ld never give them - `No´

You are the sort of person, when a war is for-bye
Can explain its good reasons, with a false tear in your eye.
In any situation you will rise to the top
Just like the scum in a common spitting pot
Your have no other aim in life, than trying to impress
Go on, admit I'm right, try and say - 'yes'
