'The Fading Star' Poem by Martin Gonzalez

'The Fading Star'

Rating: 3.0

The Fading Star
I feel has gone afar
Missing you so much
Why God gave me such a crush
These feelings I have for only you
Are real, sincere, honest and true
Days in and days out you are on my mind
As the sun sets and I unwind
Tear you from my heart I can’t
Seriously you ask? You bet

The Fading Star
Have I finally lost the war?
Or is there for me something in store
Man I still remember what I wore
That faithful day my feelings I declared
In your eyes I could tell you were scared
Hold back could I, no more
Bleeding was my heart to the core
Healed it quickly as my lips just spoke
And asked God please don’t let me choke

The Fading star
You came so close but now you’re so far
I really miss your presence
Why do you now keep your distance?
Your reasons I wish I knew
In your heart find a way and throw a clue
God I really miss you dearly
My days go and come but yet I can’t think clearly
My dear my life you have changed
Before you I ask how I managed

The Fading Star
In you I saw strength that iron bar
Thank you thank you so much
Somehow I will still be in touch
For now like you I will fly away
As much as I would love to stay
Let go of what I love I must
In God and only God I will trust
Good bye my beautiful dove
I hope in your life you find true love
