The End Of The World (Fun Poem 136) Poem by David Harris

The End Of The World (Fun Poem 136)

The end of the world happened today,
and guesses what.
Like an Ostrich
with his head in the sand,
I fell asleep and missed it.
I woke up when it was over,
so I don't know if it ended
with a bang or a whimper.
All I know is it ended;
at least that's what everyone said.
However, when I awoke
the world looked no different.
Whatever happened, it happened without me.
I guess I'll have to wait now
until the end comes around again
and I promise not to sleep through it
the next the around.
