The Encounter Poem by Adekunle Abiola Babatunde

The Encounter

Would you stop
Why make fun of me
I was born here you know
I know my way round than you

I said stop
Get your own actions
And buy some words too
And a change of clothes too

Where are you from
If I may ask
Don't just repeat my words
Answer my questions

Are you from here also
My hair, nose are like yours
Am no twin, who are you
Why wait long and no reply

Come up here
Or should I come down
Today we settle it
A fight in your abode
