The Emerald Society Poem by Sarah Ahmed16

The Emerald Society

Rating: 5.0

Speak of love, and love will speak
Love will seek to perish weak
But do I speak of such deception?
Let's go deep with each perception

Let's look closely in our consumptions
Scornful eyes of lost assumptions
Let's speak truth of the emerald society
The trace we face is but our physical anxiety

An unfair trade with the deepened much played
With indignant oppositions to the faults of the blade
Let's care not of our wrenched emotions
But of knowledge with despair in our shameless demotions

Let's be clever with immoral states of shore
I'm an odd for an even, where the justice is my core
And the river of irreverence has drowned in the ocean
And the ones of such ignorance are false in devotion

Teach the lacking young, the importance of oppression
Be clever with the tongue, and veil the lies of every lesson
A contemptuous obsession of the hand in all depression
Remove the clenched impression, for its place is in suppression

Pride is but washed in the calm of our wave
In our wave must contain but of sin we engrave
We engrave such corruption in the ones we shall save
In our save must contain the uneducated brave

Slavery will beg in the need of compassion
To act on disobedience is truly my passion
Teach me the rules and the purpose of power
Talk of such fools who will fill us in our hour

Speak not of much in the needle of affection
Ones of all but touch are misguided each direction
Protection of infection, injection we shall give
The dead will never die, as the alive will never live

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is for a contest in high school and the theme was 'Disobedience: Breaking Rules For Rules'. So I mixed around my own ideas and made this poem.

I think environment, I think green. Society holds the physical and our environmental issues like a precious emerald stone.
An emerald stone is green. Education is trash to me in comparison to the inner life of someone, though I'm aware and agree school is important and necessary. I don't care for our environmental issues. If I have to commit sins to save myself, then I will. People would save someone from being kidnapped, raped, or physically hurt, but not from dying inside. People say what I do is 'morally wrong'. Well, acting on disobedience is my passion. I live in an emerald society, I have to do wrong so I can do right. I break rules for rules. (Wrong for right)

A wonderful poem. Beautifully written. I was just wondering if you (the author) had won the contest.
