The Elves Poem by Charlotte Pinkney

The Elves

Their fair locks blew,
As they danced two by two,
The elves.
Their flowing clothes swirled,
As they twisted and twirled,
The elves.
Their voices rose up into the night,
Their bewitching voices in a song of delight,
The elves.
Fled did they as they felt my gaze,
Disappearing in the cornfield maze,
The elves.
