The Elf Named Roy Poem by norman hale

The Elf Named Roy

There once was this elf
Now let's just call him roy
Though he was grown man
He was the size of a little boy

He was supposed to try new toys
That was made for the kids
But each of them got broken
Because he got carried away at what he did

So roy was sent to tend to the reindeer
And clean and shine up the sleigh
Then he got the bringt idea
That he could ride it one day

So he hooked up the reindeer
And climbed into the sleigh
But crashed it into the barn
As he was headed up and away

So santa reassinged him
to the cleaning crew
Now he cleans up after elfs
Who make thing for me and you

So that's the story of the elf
The one that we call roy
You can't trust him with anything
Especially you're precious toy
