The Earthquake Poem by Afshan Fatima

The Earthquake

That mighty fall..
did so enthrall;
the earth shook
its every nook.
The thunder laughed
The mountains roared
The mighty doors unbolted
The huge trees jolted
and slit opened the ground.
Thus bare the roots are found.
The Almighty beaconed,
The foundations weakened,
making the skyscrapers
crushed like wafers.
