The Earth's Pest Poem by Joseph Mendax

The Earth's Pest

Television is packed with liars,
Word-twisters, and truth creators,
But I don't care anymore.

The streets are shaking with anger,
The people are concerned!
But I don't care anymore.

They watch us while we sleep!
They listen to us when we talk!
But I don't care anymore.

They try to tell us it's all okay,
That all we have to do is pay!
But it doesn't matter to me.
I don't care anymore.

I don't care because:
I can't change a thing,
and even if I could, I wouldn't,
what exactly would I bring?

I'd make things worse,
and so,
I write a verse,
which generation do I speak for?
What have we done? Nothing.

and so...

I don't care anymore.
