The Dying Lyrics Poem by Mcanthony Nwatu

The Dying Lyrics

Rating: 5.0

We welcomed our strange visitors
We slept and woke up as slaves.
Before now at home we were
At a blink here we are.
It was a long journey
But the taste of home
Still fresh like yesterday.
It was a bitter sway
As they try forging us to their life's way,
Ode we sing for the death of our belief.
We cannot draw words
So we recorded in songs.
But they conquered,
The songs lyrics died,
Our tears wasted
Since later generation
Became more civilized than civilization.
