The Dream Poem by Robert Smith

The Dream

Rating: 5.0

when i lay me down to sleep
i see her face appear and then
within the dream i ask implore and beg her
please don't come again

she can't be here
it's been so long
her haunting stare
the timing's wrong
the pain remains
her love is gone
i need new dreams
i must move on

black the sky within the dream
paints my mind the ghostly pale
apparition bound to speak
in silence of the dreamers jail

she reappears
i can't estrange
she feels familiar
yet so strange
her warmth her heart
are out of range
i'm older now
my life has changed

Life changes on while dreams come true with positive attitudes. Very interesting and wise sharing definitely...10
