The Doctor And Me Poem by lady grace

When I looked at him
saw the syringe in his hands
felt heaven beside me
awhile pain will be gone…

at bed so soft and cold
white paints from ceiling to floor
flowers of large vases
windows are closed…also the door

heard voices again
an hour when I opened my eyes
all whites surrounded me
and saw him with slippers on hand…

their smiles comfort me
increase the drip from the bottle
inject another shot of nubain
to make me sleep again…

for 12 hours I slept
dreams appeared in different scenes
there are mountains and valleys
and also rivers and streams

the moment I opened my eyes
he was already beside me
he said, ” I am your doctor”
will you please behave and look at me…

he gave instructions
and told me what I’ve done
then I remember, when I arrived ER
