The Devil Poem by Ipseeta Patel

The Devil

Rating: 5.0

He is my biggest competetor
The biggest obstacle between me and my success elevator
He's the summation of all the bad and the evil
The only cause to all my agonies is THE DEVIL

Wearing a black hoodie, he's standing in the dark
Along with his cunning red eyes having a little spark
With his nails sharper than spears
Can make anyone wet in tears

He stops me from pursuing my dreams
And fills my life with shouts and screams
He chains me and stops me from trying anything new
The chances to get rid of him are hardly few

But one day i want to conquer this giant
B'cause this bond can never be symbiont
And i know i will make him fall on his knee
As soon as i realise that...
The devil is no one else but ME..

An insightful portrayal of Devil 😈 as a source of darkness and evil, nicely brought forth in beautiful rhyme scheme with conviction. A lovely motivational poem indeed. Faith keeps those that keep the faith. Thanks for sharing Ipseeta.

You are so right, Ipseeta, most of the time we are our own devil.
