The Desert Scene Poem by rashmi pradeep kumar

On the golden desert sand
When rays of the Sun fell,
Each grain of sand
Luminescent as gold.

There I stood
In the wilderness,
Watching a family of camels
March by me.

As far as the eye could see
Vast dunes of sand,
Created mounds of
Exquisite beauty.

Here and there
Tiny scrubs grew,
Dotting the landscape
As stars in the night sky.

As the night fell
The full moon rose,
In the clear western sky;
Bathing the landscape...
...in a silvery sheen.

The desert in all its splendour
Revealed itself by day and night,
The harsh Sun, the mellow Moon
Displaying their myriad hues.
