The Delight Song Of Ashleigh Michaud Poem by Ashleigh Michaud

The Delight Song Of Ashleigh Michaud

Rating: 2.3

I am a heart exceeding with good.
I am a smile upon the face of those sad.
I am an unorganized file cabinet inside my mind.
I am a color, one that changes from pink to black.
I am a book, waiting for someone to read the good parts.
I am an angel, sent to protect those less fortunate.
I am a slave to the adults I was created from.
I am nobody to the adults that neglect me so.
I am an attribute to life; one that someone will need.
I am a pencil, dying to write my story on the sheets.
I am a girl that finally found her inner and outer beauty.
I am the quiet mouse hiding in a dark corner.
I am the punching bag the adults use when angered.
I am the brush that removes your tangles from life.
I am the poem that never ends.
I am the child deprived of a childhood.
I am the princess with a wicked stepmom and no prince.
I am Cinderella.

You see, I am alive. I am alive.
I stand in good relation to the Heavens.
I stand in good relation to a bookshelf.
I stand in good relation to the fairytale princess.
I stand in good relation to all that is good.
You see, I am alive. I am alive.
