The Deadly Flood Poem by Stella Adanma Ugwu

The Deadly Flood

Running away to look for safety
Without the sound of the gun
It is then a cold war to fight
with whom but the deadly flood

It is true that lives were lost
And all our property too
Running away to an unknown destination
When there is no sound of the gun
A bitter war it is with nature
Dealing us a terrible blow
A case we have never seen before
But for the climate change

Let us stop and fight the battle
For the future may be worse
If only we can think a little
We can fight the deadly flood.
