The Day You Left Poem by Alexander Zabalza

The Day You Left

Rating: 5.0

As you start to close your eyes one final time, the world turned to darkness,
The sky wept tears, as you took your last breath.

The little happiness I once held dear,
With the news I received, it disappeared.

The trust I placed in that divine presence,
Now twisted into feelings of anger and resentment.

Unspoken words lingered in the air,
Silent goodbyes filled with despair.

Why was it her and not me,
She was the beacon, the light I longed to see.

The day you departed, my world was consumed,
By darkness so profound, it left me entombed

The worst experience a person had to suffer is the loss of a loved one. The hurt and pain eloquently expressed in your tribute to your lived one.
