The Day You Die Poem by Saranya Sanya Ruamsook

The Day You Die

What if today is the last day of your life?

If you are conscious, you will SEE:
Goods in people you hate.
Needs in people you never gave.

If you are conscious, you will be FREE:
From pungent words, they say.
From gossip words spread away.
From lush and greediness used to stay.

If you are conscious, you will FIND:
Only good words to say in your mind.
It’s so easy to be kind. Nothing is too much give. Nothing is too important to share.

If you are conscious, you will TRY:
To treat everyone the best.
Never give anyone a test.

And you will NEVER:
Hurt any single one.
Stab any one with your painful words or lie.
Hate anyone on the day you die.
Be angry with anything people do.

In the last day,
You will see all things with new eyes and mind.
You will be merciful.
You will be in peace.
You will behave different.
You will be relieve and relax.

So..Why don’t we:
Consciously spend every day as the day we will die.
