The Day Poem by Dale Cody 2

The Day

THE DAY

The sun's rays
pierced the dew
brought forth life
a day anew

I saw it not

Noon's sun warmed the earth
towards spring
listening flowers
and birds to sing

I heard it not

The sun set
in grander splender
a day departing
in loving splender

I felt it not

In twilight
sight unseen
I heard
a silent scream!
