The Darkness Poem by Lagario Johnson

The Darkness

This dim summer night
The stars were not shiny as bright
But the air was cold
Although the trees were bold

I Am afraid of this strange dark place
But i must conquer my fears face to face
The darkness is chasing me for my soul
As it hides behind every pole

So I must not make the wrong turn
Are my soul will be burned
I must find the light
But the light is nowhere in sight

I stood in fright
Although I still must fight
I reach a hill
And see a light house made of steel

I looked around
The darkness was nowhere to be found
Then out of nowhere
I hit the ground

The darkness had got me
And started to strike
I couldn't let it get me
So I had to fight

Then I saw the light shining
Its colorful beam
Finally, I woke up
From this horrible dream
