The Darkest Hour Poem by Cody J Walker

The Darkest Hour

I am a prince
A prince of darkness
who travels the night
Wandering in the shadows
I feast upon the pleasant dreams
Bringing nightmares as it seems
Spreading pain and terror to all
People big and even small
One night I found
The one I seeked
One of dark nature
At her peak,
In her mind
I had wandered
Finding me
But even stronger
I wake her with powers
With my own
Soon travel together
With our darkness alone
A princess of ain
A prince of power
In this night
Of the Darkest Hour
She arose in her mind
To take the body
It was time
Dark energy began to appear
In north and south
And even here
The children were pleasantly scared
I wish them strong if they dared
We fly together
Into the night
House by house
Spreading fright
Giving nightmares to all we see
Spreading nightmares to all we see
Spreading pain and misery
Through the years
We grow stronger
With powers so great
To destroy the dreams and annihilate
The darkness consumes
All that is light
It dies when someone
Falls asleep and says
Goodnight.
