The Crystal Vase Poem by Robert Henry Poulin

The Crystal Vase

in the crystal vase
arranging all the flowers
it can hold
no more room in me
so filled am I with you

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The crystal vase of beauty represents a heart and the flowers are love, so full is the vase it can hold no more as my heart could hold all the love she had to give before losing her battle to cancer. The last two lines of this tanka say it all: there is no more room in my heart so filled is her love and I am so filled with her lovingly.
