The Critics Applaud Him Poem by Francis Duggan

The Critics Applaud Him

The critics applaud him as their Poet of the Day
He is one of those who with words who does have a way
As a modern poet he is one of the best
And he will be one for to standthe time test
The literary critics who in their newspaper columns appoint every literary great
Say here is a writer we should celebrate
Have proclaimed to be a young major poet
A writer they feel is worthy of literary note
In their newspapers columns one they often mention by name
As a poet well worthy of literary fame
And since he has the literary critics on his side
He is on his way to being known Worldwide
To literary greatness he is on his way
Since the critics applaud him as their Poet of the Day.
