The Consequence Of Your Eyes Poem by Pratip Sen Gupta

The Consequence Of Your Eyes

Rating: 1.5

In the consequence of your eyes
I lift mine and lower them
For how can I look
Into those depths
And the unwavering softness
Guarded valiantly by your eyelashes
And not be moved

Be moved to insanity
To deapair
That my longing was not enough
But to float at the rims
Of their loveliness
And too light to drown
In their nectar depths

In a wanton negligence
I wander away
Away from the sight
The wanting
The craving
To remaiin forever a nomad
In a desert bereft
Of the consequence of your eyes
