The Clock Winds Down Poem by Walterrean Salley

The Clock Winds Down

In this life,
The ole clock winds down,
Never to be rewound.

By seconds and minutes,
The hours tick away.
Gossamer thoughts lessen
And haloes fade.
Moss grows
As the boughs bend.
Tho‘ days are long,
The time is short.
