The Church Where We Were Wed Poem by Jim Yerman

The Church Where We Were Wed

Rating: 4.3

Yesterday we took a drive to the church where we were wed.
"I can't believe it's been 28 years, since we stood here? " I said.

"The outside shows signs of weathering...and the shingles! ...that roof's lost a few."
She squeezed my hand...kissed my cheek then smiled..."And the church got older too."
