The Cat With Nine Lives Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

The Cat With Nine Lives

Rating: 4.0

He was the cat with nine lives

Life kept turning and spinning him
Everyday came and people kept looking at him
If hope existed; it could never be for him
Whatever clues there remained for life, had yet found him

He was the cat with nine lives

Life is a tussle; it was greater than that for him
When joy is shared; it was opposite for him
Take everything; you would never wanted to leave anything for him
There could never be a situation worst than that of him

He was the cat with nine lives

His hands have been strained due to the stress imposed on him
The heart is heavy and the mind is weak; what is left for him?
He, nonetheless, continued to pull on the body; that is just him
Help, could come, today or next, that is not bothering him

He was the cat with nine lives

The help eventually came as the whole world looked at him
Change is the only constant thing in life; it surely came searching for him
Life could never be sweeter; honey became a juice for him
He was never the same again; the good news was all about him

He was the cat with nine lives
