The Cage Was Broken Poem by Satish Verma

The Cage Was Broken

It was an ethereal
kiss. I shook my hand with the
immortal. The sting was pregnant.

Your love was morphetic.
Who was deathless in this world?
You are tied to me in the war of embrace.

It rakes the weeping tree.
Where does the god live? The roots
are in blood and thieves took away the fruits.
