The Brilliance Of The City Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The Brilliance Of The City

Rating: 5.0

The light in a small town is
Soft and dull with filters upon it
How I would like to see the brilliance of the city
I long for it
For I don't see that enough
With the stars of buildings
It catches my imagination to everything I want to be
Though, the horrors try to deter me from this life
I still dream hopefully to be one of those who made it
However, I am not young anymore
And to think of myself a failure is too real
As I cannot justify myself in trying once more
