The Boathouse Poem by Holly Jamestone

The Boathouse

Oh, showers please reemerge in the spring
Leave your remnants at the park till the shift changes
The new seasons gently nudge the ice to return in January
Allowing us, carefree and glad, to skate beside the boathouse
Beneath the cold, clear sky on frosty nights, the moon in our pockets
