The Bite Poem by Frank Valenti

The Bite

Rating: 5.0

In the face of death I spoke take me

For I do not want this life of treason

Sitting on my knees for all to see

I turn my head for this reason

Looking at her through the corner of my eye

Wondering if she'd take that bite

Inching closer effortlessly and sly

She pierces my neck ever so slight

Feeling my blood escape into her

Hoping this would all be over soon

As it continued I wasn't so sure

Realizing now I would never see high noon

For instead of ending my misery

She brought me through a portal

Now and forever I will be

One of the walking immortal
