The Awakening Poem by Michael Koelliker

The Awakening

The dawning sun rises today.
The day's worth is growing still.
The eager flower blossoms in warm May.
But in winter will be ill.

Live your life in the days of Demeter.
Shine your Light upon the World.
Play like the stars in the theatre.
Fly the sky like a rock hurled.

When your blood runs warm, best rejoice.
For when it runs cold, we mourn.
Sing from the mountains, wail your voice.
Unify your will, be sworn.

Do not be frail, stand up for life.
Glowing against the Dark.
Fight against the unjust strife.
Take aim, never miss your mark.
