The Arrogant Man Poem by June FeirCruz

The Arrogant Man

Rating: 4.5

I thought you were an enigma
A puzzle I have to figure out
You were aloof, mysterious and unreachable
Till I realize that was just a facade

You have nothing, except the illusion of power
You have explored it, exploited it, played all your cards with it
You could have deceived me and everyone around you,
but your arrogance has betrayed you

Now, you are back to being a zero
A nothing, a zip, a nobody
You were so close, you could have had everything
What a shame it is
May the heavens help you
