The Ap Exams Poem by Victor Cruickshank

The Ap Exams

The dreadful day of the test has come
In my mind there was Mrs. Woolf with a drum
Drumming Victor do not summarize!
Use your brains I told you to memorize
And we've taken the test we're done with it
We all took the test we dared not quit
And never again will I take an AP class
And those I've taken are with the hope that I pass
Because my days in high school are numbered
I will no more be with work encumbered
We've taken that dreadful test
And all we hope is to our best
My primary novel had no use
At break all I did was drink some juice
But thank God I had a secondary novel
Or else to the exam I will grovel
Not only did it take so long
All I wish is that we did no wrong
The thought of taking it alone was dreadful
But the thought of not taking it is regretful
Over three hundred seconds I sat thinking
Then I realized all I had to do was to write
Above all things I just hope I was right.
