The Answer Poem by Morimyth Weaver

The Answer

There's a wire in my head
Don't know what lies it's said
Right now it's sayin'
I'd be better off dead.
Pull the plug, push it down & fight it.
Remember where you are
Your world's just gettin' started.
Hold your breath, count to ten,
Nothin' is quite set in stone yet.
Take Fate in your hands,
And grasp it, hold it, own it.

Tell me how to find the answer.
Tell me how to find the answer!
Tell me how to find the answer?
Lesson, lesson, lesson, learned.

There's ice in my eyes
It's rendered me blind
To all of the love
I've had in my life.
Lift it up, cultivate & grow it.
Remember where you feel
And learn how to show it.
Respect is the key,
Make sure to clean your eyes
In good company.
Take that bond in your hands
& gently hold it, to grow it.

Tell me how to find the answer.
Tell me how to find the answer!
Tell me how to find the answer?
Lesson, lesson, lesson, learned.

There's a fire in my soul
Dying to be free
I grow the embers in myself
& let All Else Be
Fan myself, feed my dreams,
There's goals to achieve
To live authentically.
There's no one else I can be
So no one can do me, like me
& it sets me free.
I own it, to live it, to love me.

Tell me how to find the answer.
Tell me how to find the answer!
Tell me how to find the answer?

Lesson, lesson, lesson, learned.
Lesson, lesson, lesson, learned.
Lesson, lesson, lesson, learned...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A spoken spark from someone else may seem like a beaconed light, but often it is a lure aiming at possession. The framing will be kind, but controlling. Do not let it sway you. Your autonomy and heart will be lost in the search of meaning in another. - 333
