That Poor Sad Faced Bloke Poem by Francis Duggan

That Poor Sad Faced Bloke

That poor sad faced bloke known as never do well
Of life he does have his own stories to tell
He does have a reason for looking so sad
Some tearful and tough days in life he has had
Luck in life it has not been on his side
When their home it caught fire his wife and his young son and his young daughter died
Whilst he worked on the night shift in the factory his family he lost
A lifetime of grief for his loss is his cost
In his late sixties his hair silver gray
A poor alcoholic he is homeless today
Life to the poor bloke it has not been kind
For his grief some form of solace in alcohol he does find
He may be known to many as never do well
But of life he does have his own stories to tell.
