That Four-Letter Word Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

That Four-Letter Word

That catch-all four letter word
Seems to be used extensively,
To express what one may accord
With a limited vocabulary.

It's a usual term showing famine
Of substance, value, or meaning,
And beyond the blankness within
Is that word that's no more than disgusting.

Will some poets ever learn to strive
To discover there are much better words
That would grace the poems made alive
Than that word that's banal, absurd.
