That Day (Translation Of Lyrics By Zoopark) Poem by Masha Danevasha

That Day (Translation Of Lyrics By Zoopark)

Rating: 4.5

That day when you decide that life was all for nothing
When the paint has peeled off oils on your walls
When your friends have left and won’t be returning
Maybe that day you’ll dropp by after all

When your only son forgets what name to call you
When your lover longs for comfort of his wife
When you want to cry but have no tears for it
Maybe at least that day you’ll come back into my life

I waited out for so long
But I know how to wait
And it may sound odd but I remember all
That you forgot to say

When your father drives you off his doorstep
When your memoirs have dropped in price
When you cry out “Help” but no one is responding
Maybe on that day you'll grace my sight

When your creditors come asking for their money
When you see a foe is riding on your steed
When you are dressed in rags instead of velvet
Maybe on that day you’ll come to visit me

I am no judge
There is no need to be sweet
Just need to tell me all
And it’s strange
But I’ve forgotten more
Then you will ever know

When the waters have receded in your river
When your pages die on someone else’s field
And when even sun appears to be dimming
Maybe on that day you’ll come to me

When your ears get filled with sounds of sirens
When in vain you start to dream about peace
When you need someone to whom there is no need to speak
Maybe on that day you will return to me

Hi Masha I'm liking this journey you're taking me on. Perhaps I ought to turn my thoughts to other lovers.... I like how you give each one a codename - very clever. Your work is very good... interesting way of writing! Look forward to reading more, Humber Girl x
