That Calm Voice Poem by Ray Hansell

I was lying on my bed
When I suddently felt a hand in mine
Then I heard a calming voice whisper
Come with me it's time

Then, we entered this great tunnel
With an incredible bright light
Again I heard this calming voice
You're with me everythings all right

All of a sudden this feeling of euphoria
Washed over me like a waterfall
In all the years I've been alive
I never felt like this as I recall

This feeling that swept over me
Far exceeded anything I've ever felt before
All I kept thinking
I want to feel this feeling some more

But the calming voice was telling me
That this feeling is just a one time thing
He said, you only feel it once
When you come here to receive your wings
