Thank You Poem by Nia Chan

Thank You

Thank you for being there in my dreams
But disappear when I'm awake
Thank you for mending my heart
Then after letting it break
Thank you for the insults, compliments and everything after
This magnificent love
Has now turned into a disaster
Thank you for causing me pain
Thank you for letting our relationship end up in vain
Thank you for showing me that there's nothing to gain
And thank you for breaking my heart and the rest of its remains
Thank you for using me until you found a brand new girl
And thank you for being the only sense of happiness I had in this god damn world
Thank you for being the reason
I cried myself to sleep each night
And thank you for teaching me how to lie to people
By saying "I'm alright"
And finally thank you for leaving me the hell alone
Now I can be independent all on my own
