Tendon From Bone Poem by Patti Masterman

Tendon From Bone

Tendon from bone; assailing feat,
Feline sinew on well-cleaved meat,
Death in the morning, death at night-
To sate unwelcome hungers blight.

Arrow from the archer, fleshly cleft,
Brash incursion from life, a theft;
Truncheon'd barter, body downed-
No finer meal, and dregs to hound.
